Self Control
Dealing with other characters can be really stressful if not painful and annoying. This calls for self-control of temper, speech, reaction both physical and otherwise, facial expressions and open show of anger. We must at all times restrain from such at all costs. The prophet said categorically in the hadith narrated by Abu hurairah and compiled in the authentic bukhari collection: “Don’t get angry! Don’t get angry! Don’t get angry!
Wisdom
We will at all times employ wisdom in our dealings both with muslims and non-muslims. You must at all times as an efficient Da’ai to understand the situation and deal with it and propagate islam accordingly. You must adapt to the situation very fast and convert it to your advantage. [When the opponent is abusing and emotional, lower yourself and be humble and show him the voice of reason and maturity. This will make him calm and win him over].
Appeal to the hearts
Talk to their hearts. This means pride, arrogance, mockery, emotions, vulgar and abusive language is not part of our DNA. Assume the opposite position and see if you would be convinced if it were you. We must at all times be humble and sincere in the call not to mention a beautiful speech from which they will be endeared to islam
